About Us

Gini and Mark Langham started The Children's Playroom Drop In to help parents who need quality part-time child care for their children. They always strives to continually make the centers fun and safe for all the children that visit. They walked the halls of the Tennessee State Legislature to change the law and increase the hours that drop-in centers could care for children from 10 to 20. Mark Langham passed away in March, 2019, but Gini and her two children continue to provide quality drop-in care to Middle Tennessee. Reach out to us today to learn more about our dedicated business!

I feel so comfortable bringing him, we've had a couple bad daycare's in the past, and had to pull my oldest out of those, but this place takes the best care of their kids. If your kid is crying, they will be held until they stop crying, every time I walk in the door one of the caretakers is always holding a kid no exceptions. Your child will not be neglected or sad because their needs are being met. Can't say enough good things about this place! It's such a blessing.

The Children’s Playroom is truly an amazing service for families and children! I have a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and before working here, I didn’t know much about drop-in childcare. I originally took a part-time position to help pay off student loans, thinking it would be temporary—but I’ve stayed for over a year and a half because the environment is just that wonderful. Children are always engaged with games, hands-on activities, and plenty of free play—something that’s so important in today’s screen-focused world. The staff are attentive, warm, and have strong relationships with each other, which models healthy communication and friendship skills for the children. I also love that The Playroom is welcoming and supportive of children with exceptional needs, making it a truly inclusive space. At the end of the day, The Children’s Playroom offers the two things parents value most: a safe place for their children and a fun, enriching experience every time they visit. I highly recommend it!

Meals & Snacks

The Children’s Playroom offers a full-service menu filled with delicious meals, including macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, and pizza. We also serve white and chocolate milk, fruit, and yogurt, all for a reasonable price. We serve meals at 11:00 a.m., 1:00, 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., and generally every odd hour throughout the day! You may also bring food from outside if you wish.

We gladly accommodate children with food allergies.

Infant Care

We pride ourselves on providing high-quality care for infants. One caregiver is always dedicated solely to infant care. For your child’s comfort, please bring diapers, wipes, bottles, and baby food. Let us know your infant’s needs, and we will be glad to accommodate their schedule.

We have a separate infant area with cribs and mats for children to nap.

Services & Rates for The Children’s Playroom

Our drop-in child care services are available to kids 15 months to 12 years of age with no reservation required at either our Belle Meade or Brentwood, TN, center. For infants younger than 15 months, please contact the center of your choice for a reservation.
